Description: On May 27th, 2012, Plaintiff was in her car outside her parents’ home in Queens, New York, where Plaintiff used to live. Plaintiff’s sister had evicted her a month prior. Plaintiff’s sister called the police to report Plaintiff trespassing at their parents’ home. Approximately 6 NYPD officers approached Plaintiff’s car and asked for identification. Plaintiff tried to look in the trunk of the car for her wallet to present identification. The officers asked Plaintiff questions about her mental health status, which she refused to answer. The officers proceeded to handcuff Plaintiff and knock Plaintiff to the ground, causing bruises and contusions.
