Description: On December 8, 2022, Eliezer Avraham was at his home when NYPD officers arrived and asked him to go with them for questioning. Despite being told he was not under arrest and asking multiple times for clarification, Avraham felt compelled to comply and was subsequently handcuffed tightly, causing him discomfort. He was not informed of any legal basis for his detention and was transported to the NYPD 70th Precinct without his needed prescription medication, which worsened his physical condition.
While in custody, Avraham was falsely accused of crimes by the officers, leading to his arraignment in Kings County Criminal Court. However, all charges were later dismissed, and his record sealed.
