Description: On March 16, 2017, Plaintiff Marlando Mitchell was wrongfully arrested by NYPD officers Michael C. Cama (Shield #1098) and Mario Guerrero (Shield #6810). Cama and Guerrero, without probable cause, pulled over the car in which Mitchell was a passenger. When Mitchell asked Cama and Guerrero why he was being stopped, they threatened him with arrest. They then proceeded to search, question, assault, arrest, and jail Mitchell. Cama and Guerrero then prepared false police reports, though on May 1, 2017, the Kings County DA's office declined to prosecute. The case eventually settled for $12,500.
