Complaint
Description: On March 8, 2012, Plaintiff was walking when approached by plainclothes officers. He produced identification but it was a state benefits card which the officers disparaged. While standing there, Plaintiff’s phone rang. As he looked to see if it was his doctor’s office, Defendant officers grabbed his neck and threw him to the ground. Plaintiff was cuffed and taken to the 81st Precinct. Plaintiff was held for some time before being ticketed for disorderly conduct. He received medical treatment for his injuries the following day. All charges were dismissed at a hearing on June 5, 2012.
