Description: On February 23, 2016 Plaintiff called 911 to report a passenger had assaulted him. When POs (named POs are Damarr McBean, Christopher McDermott, Lt. Maria Salas, and Sgt. Wright) arrived they refused to arrest the passenger because she was a white female and Plaintiff appeared to be a Muslim or Arabic male. On or about August 16, 2016 Plaintiff arrived at the 13th Precinct to file a complaint against the passenger. Instead, POs arrested Plaintiff for attempting to follow through with the arrest of his passenger and subjected Plaintiff to a malicious prosecution, compelling Plaintiff to attend court proceedings until all charges against him were dismissed on October 11, 2016. Description: On April 3, 2013, Plaintiff was at the subway station when he noticed a woman having trouble purchasing a subway Metrocard from a machine. Plaintiff, as a friendly gesture, offered a Metrocard to the woman.
