Complaint
Description: On or about October 7, 2022, defendant NYPD officer contacted the plaintiff to inform him that his brother accused the plaintiff of stealing rent checks from inside the residence of 314 2nd Avenue in New York County. The plaintiff informed the defendant that he had an ownership interest in the house and had the authority to enter and collect the rent checks from the home. This information was confirmed by the plaintiff's legal counsel. Despite this information, the defendant still arrested the plaintiff without probable cause to justify the arrest of plaintiff. The plaintiff was maliciously prosecuted and suffered injury while incarcerated.
