Description: On January 17, 2012, at approximately 7:30 P.M., Plaintiff was walking in the vicinity of Redfern Ave and Beach Channel Drive in Far Rockaway Queens, New York City. He was stopped and handcuffed by officers of the New York City Police Department, which included Defendant Police Officer Travis Mussaw. Plaintiff was taken to the 101st Precinct where he was interrogated by a detective who told him that he was being charged with criminal possession of a weapon and that he was seen via surveillance camera ditching a gun. Plaintiff asserted his innocence and volunteered to provide his DNA, but his assertions were disregarded.
