Description: On June 15, 2020, the plaintiff, a black male, was inside of his apartment in Brooklyn, NY when his roommate assaulted a female in said apartment. Despite the plaintiff trying to stop the assault and the victim confirming to the defendant officers upon their arrival that the plaintiff was not the perpetrator, officer John Veloz and officers John/Jane Doe 1-10 nonetheless aggressively applied handcuffs in a tight fashion to the plaintiff and took him to an NYPD precinct where he was subject to further indignities.
