Description: On April 1 2014, NYPD Detective Christopher Kolenda, without a warrant, forcibly entered and searched plaintiff's apartment. Plaintiff was not present in the apartment at the time of the search and was instructed to go to the 17th Precinct. At the precinct, plaintiff was falsely accused of making threatening calls. Despite evidence that the claims were false, plaintiff was arrested on May 1, 2014 and transported to Central Booking, where he was shoved, handcuffed tightly, and deprived of food and water. The charges against plaintiff were dismissed by the DA on July 15, 2015.
