Description: On December 8, 2021, Plaintiffs Simmons and Regis were waiting for an Uber when police officers, including Officer Briguglio, approached them. Briguglio restrained Simmons while another officer questioned Regis about what had been exchanged between them. Despite informing the officers they were waiting for an Uber and not committing any crime, Regis was forcibly grabbed by the arms, pushed against a wall, pushed to his knees, and then forced to the ground on his stomach where he was handcuffed. His phone was thrown to the ground by an officer.

Description: On February 1, 2019, plaintiff was a passenger in a vehicle that was driving along Rochester Avenue and Montgomery Street in Brooklyn, New York, when an unmarked police vehicle pulled over the car. The police question the driver for documents and then proceeded to tell the plaintiff and other backseat riders to exit the vehicle. The plaintiff was immediately arrested and handcuffed. The plaintiff was made to endure degradation and humiliation with body cavity searches, was harassed, and was imprisoned for over a day without probable cause.
