Description: On August 9, 2017, Agnieszka Andrukiewicz was with her son at a playground. Andrukiewicz and her son were attacked by another group at the playground. Officers Hendrick and McGuire arrived at the scene to investigate. Andrukiewicz's husband told the officers that Agnieszka speaks limited English, and requested a Polish-speaking officer. The officers refused. Lieutenant Moye arrived at the scene, and again tried to interview Andrukiewicz in English. The officers then arrested and handcuffed Andrukiewicz. Andrukiewicz was in custody at the precinct for two hours before release. Description: On or about November 20, 2013 Plaintiff was lying on the ground in a semi-unconscious state when POs Daniel McGuire and John Does 1 & 2 approached and proceeded to violently push, shove, slam to the ground, assault batter, unlawfully arrest, and handcuff Plaintiff without legal justification. POs continued the assault even after Plaintiff was handcuffed. Plaintiff was taken to the hospital where he remained shackled for approximately 9 days while receiving medical care.
