Complaint
Description: On or about July 5, 2022, Plaintiff was lawfully on the street when he was assaulted by Defendant NYPD officers including PO Robert Figueira, PO Brian Ricci. During the assault, they slammed Plaintiff's head upon the ground and placed Plaintiff in excessively tight handcuffs which caused injuries to Plaintiff's wrists. The officers proceeded to falsely arrest Plaintiff. A Defendant supervisor was on the scene but did not stop the false arrest. The officers prepared false sworn affidavits and false police reports relating to Plaintiff's arrest, and Plaintiff was falsely charged with assorted crimes as a result. All charges against Plaintiff were subsequently dismissed.

Description: On March 31, 2022, Plaintiff was driving his girlfriend’s car to pick up his girlfriend’s other car that needed to be taken to the mechanic. Plaintiff was waiting for another vehicle to pull out of a parking spot so he could park the Honda Civic, when a police vehicle pulled in front of him, blocking his way. Four defendant police officers CHRISOVA KOUIMANIS, BRIAN RICCI, ROBERT FIGUEIRA and unknown office exited the vehicle, guns drawn, and approached the plaintiff’s vehicle.
