Description: On April 25, 2019, plaintiff lawfully walking in the vicinity of East 156st Street and Hewitt Avenue, when defendant police officers, without no probable cause or reason other than plaintiff's race, approached plaintiff and punched him in the jaw, slammed him to the ground, and kicked him in the stomach. Plaintiff was not committing any illegal or criminal act. Plaintiff was then hospitalized, and defendants falsely claimed that plaintiff possessed firearms and was resisting arrest. Plaintiff was thereafter arrested with tight handcuffs, causing substantial pain, and transported to a police precinct where he was processed, searched, and detained.
