Description: On March 19, 2021, the plaintiff was lawfully present in the vicinity of 58th and Avenue H in Brooklyn, New York. The plaintiff was walking across the street when NYPD defendants illegally targeted the plaintiff as a criminal because of his race. The defendants drew a loaded handgun and pointed it at the plaintiff's head. The plaintiff did not display or threaten use of a weapon and did not give the officers any reason to believe he committed a crime. Defendants physically restrained him, violently contorted him, and placed excessively tight handcuffs on his wrists to cause him substantial pain and injury.
