Description: On or about July 1, 2020, Plaintiff, a police officer, was falsely arrested after his ex-partner falsely claimed to Officer Barry Driscoll that Plaintiff was violent towards her. Officer Driscoll observed injuries to Plaintiff's ex-partner's neck and face. Her injuries were due to the tussle that ensued after she moved towards Plaintiff in a threatening manner and so he tried to physically restrain her. Description: On February 15, 2014 at approximately 8:30 p.m. inside of 2931 Frederick Douglass Boulevard, which was located inside a NYCHA owned and operated public housing complex, Plaintiff Bussey entered into the front door to visit Plaintiff Clark. The two had been romantically involved for years, and Plaintiff Clark was a lawful tenant of the premise. Description: On October 17, 2012, Plaintiff was approached by officers while he was standing on the public sidewalk speaking with two acquaintances he encountered on his walk back home from work. Plaintiff was not creating any disturbance nor was he obstructing access to the sidewalk. Nevertheless, the officers, without probable cause or reasonable suspicion of any crime, placed Plaintiff under arrest. Officer Cornea either arrested and or/failed to intervene the actions of his fellow offers when he observed them falsely arresting Plaintiff. Plaintiff was held in police custody for several hours before being given a summons ticket for disorderly conduct and released. All charges against Plaintiff were later dismissed.
