Complaint
Description: On June 10, 2012, plaintiff was unloading groceries from her car, which was parked on the street in front of her apartment in the Bronx. When she returned from one load of groceries, she witnessed defendant NYPD Officer Jorge Zayas writing her a ticket for blocking a fire hydrant with her car. She accepted the ticket and began to walk away, when defendant Zayas shouted at her and ran up to her. He grabbed plaintiff by the arm and jerked her toward his scooter, and then he handcuffed her and forced her to the ground. Plaintiff was then placed inside a hot car for an unknown amount of time before she was transported to the local NYPD precinct. After a period of detention, plaintiff was issued a summons for disord...
