The Plaintiff at the time of the incident had been walking on the sidewalk, attempting to hail a taxicab, wearing common female attire that could be worn at work, while the Defendant officers had been driving in a NYPD vehicle, when the Defendant officers stopped the Plaintiff. The Defendant officers falsely arrested the Plaintiff, and refused to tell the Plaintiff the reason for the arrest. Plaintiff Lori's mother and aunt took over a first floor apartment in Brooklyn before Lori's grandmother died. The Plaintiffs moved into the apartment on October 15, 2012 pursuant to a signed rental lease agreement with Lori's mother.
