Description: On May 8, 2018, plaintiff was lawfully in the vicinity of 265 East 161st Street, Bronx, when defendant police officer, without any probable cause or legal justification, stopped, handcuffed, and arrested plaintiff in an excessive manner. Plaintiff was not engaging in any illegal act and did not possess any illegal weapon or substance. Defendants then falsely accused plaintiff of having committed the crime of Criminal Possession of a Weapon and related charges. Plaintiff was then detained in a jail. All charges against plaintiff were eventually dismissed in his favor. As a result of defendants' action, plaintiff sustained multiple injuries and emotional trauma.
