Description: On December 23, NYPD Officers including Officer Sean Christian approached Plaintiff while Plaintiff was delivering food for Grubhub. Plaintiff was double parked on the street with his pregnant girlfriend waiting in the car. The Officers asked Plaintiff to move the car, to which Plaintiff responded that his girlfriend would move the car. Plaintiff then asked if he could make the delivery first after the Officers insisted that Plaintiff move the car. Without more explanation, the Officers grabbed Plaintiff, pushed Plaintiff onto a car, and unlawfully arrested Plaintiff. The Officers then choked Plaintiff while Plaintiff was handcuffed. Description: On October 27, 2020, Sharif Person (Plaintiff) was at his home when assaulted, confined, unduly restrained, falsely arrested, and falsely imprisoned plaintiff for an alleged crime claimed to have taken place on October 15, 2020, based upon false statements made by defendants. Plaintiff was held at the 70th Precinct for approximately one (1) day and Central Booking for approximately one (1) day, Brooklyn House of Detention for four (4) hours and Rikers Island for eighteen (18) days. Plaintiff was then released from Rikers Island and was forced to make several additional court appearances. On December 8, 2020, all charges against plaintiff were dismissed.
