Description: On March 11, 2013, plaintiff Carl Roy Anderson was arrested at the 77th Precinct in Brooklyn after responding to a request to speak with police regarding a domestic incident. Despite no physical injuries or evidence of assault, Anderson was detained, placed in a jail cell, and taken to Central Booking, where he spent one night in jail. The charges were dismissed on June 10, 2013. Anderson alleges false arrest, false imprisonment, and malicious prosecution by the City of New York and NYPD officers, resulting in mental anguish and emotional distress.
