Description: On or about August 26, 2021, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Plaintiff Steve Boursiquot was a lawful passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over by NYPD officers near Ocean Avenue and Farragut Road in Brooklyn, New York. After the stop, the front-seat passenger exited the vehicle and fled on foot, allegedly discarding a firearm before being apprehended. Despite having no involvement with the firearm, Plaintiff was ordered to exit the vehicle, lie face down, and was then handcuffed and arrested without probable cause. The officers falsely charged Plaintiff with possession of the discarded firearm and linked him to an unrelated robbery that had occurred nearby. Description: On November 27, 2021, while the plaintiff was lawfully walking as a pedestrian, he was forcibly seized and detained by NYPD officers, including Adan Suazorodas, Larry Simpson, and Mark Fontana, without probable cause or reasonable suspicion to believe that the plaintiff had committed or was about to commit any crime or violation. Upon seizing the plaintiff, the officers conducted a forcible and invasive search without a warrant and without probable cause or reasonable suspicion. The officers also used excessive and unjustified force against the plaintiff, including grabbing and pulling his genitalia and forcibly slapping a cell phone from his hand.

Description: On June 14, 2014, plaintiff legally parked his vehicle in a muni-meter parking spot. Before plaintiff's son was able to deposit the change into the meter, defendant Chowdhury, a traffic enforcement agent, placed a parking citation and summons upon plaintiff’s van. Plaintiff approached defendant Chowdhury to discuss why it had been issued before a reasonable opportunity to fund the muni-meter had elapsed. Defendant Chowdhury provided no explanation and then stated that he'd have plaintiff arrested. Defendant police officers arrived at the scene and arrested plaintiff. Plaintiff spent approximately 36hours in custody before being released. All charges brought against him were ultimately dismissed.
