Description: On September 8, 2018, at approximately 5:00 am, police officers illegally forcefully entered the home of Plaintiff who had previously been arrested on July 16, 2017 and then released on bail. The officers refused to provide a search warrant upon the Plaintiffs request, claiming they did not need one. Upon further asking for a warrant, the officers grew agitated and assaulted plaintiff while handcuffed. Plaintiff was taken to Coney Island Hospital due to their injuries while the rest of the family was taken to the 60th precinct while the other officers searched the apartment. Description: On January 12, 2016 at approximately 6am, Ms. McClain was getting ready for work in her apartment when as many as twenty NYPD Officer John Does* (all male) broke down her door and raided her apartment. They had a warrant based on a tip from a confidential informant that crack cocaine had been sold by Ms. McClain's brother in the apartment. Ms. McClain's brother did not live in the apartment, nor did he ever live there or have keys, and only visited every few weeks. Ms. McClain, wearing only undergarments at the time, was pushed into a chair and handcuffed with excessive tightness.
