Description: On March 17, 2014, plaintiff and his mother were descending an escalator landing to the Times Square subway station on 7th Avenue in Manhattan. Plaintiff had accidentally bumped into a female while on the escalator. The female then proceeded to curse at plaintiff and punched him in the face causing him to bleed. Defendant officers had arrived on the scene and asked plaintiff if he wished to press charges against the female. Plaintiff declined to do so. Defendant officers then proceeded to, unlawfully and without reasonable suspicion or probable cause, arrest the plaintiff and his mother.
