Complaint
Description: Plaintiff was outside of his friend's building and was waiting for his friend's mother to help her with her groceries. When he went inside, he left his cellphone outside. Plaintiff then went back downstairs and outside to find his phone. He then saw multiple NYPD officers talking to his friend, and saw his phone in an officer's hand. Plaintiff asked for his phone and said he could prove that it was his by swiping his finger on the phone. The officer told the plaintiff that he would have to come back to the precinct to retrieve his phone. Officer Aslam then pushed the plaintiff away from them, against an NYPD van, and threw him onto the ground. Plaintiff was then handcuffed and charged with dis con.
