Description: On September 6, 2014, plaintiff was inside the courtyard of a housing project with four friends when he was approached by defendant POs who claimed that plaintiff was smoking marijuana and asked plaintiff to stand up. When plaintiff stood up, defendant POs tried to grab him. As plaintiff did not understand why the officer tried to grab him, he took a step back. Defendant POs then grabbed plaintiff by the collar and slammed him into an iron fence. Because his head hit the iron fence plaintiff lost consciousness. As he woke up, defendant POs arrested plaintiff, accusing him of resisting arrest and of owning a blunt that other officers had found. Plaintiff had to receive treatment for his head injuries.
