Complaint
Description: On April 16, 2021, POs including Batz, Almonte, Caceres, and Acevedo suddenly accosted Plaintiff on the street, while he was handing out flyers and business cards. The POs then proceeded to search Plaintiff but failed to find any evidence of illegal activity. The POs then handcuffed and arrested Plaintiff despite their knowledge that they lacked reasonable grounds or probable cause. Plaintiff sustained physical injuries, emotional distress, embarrassment, and humiliation.

Complaint
Description: On October 24, 2019, plaintiff was lawfully in the vicinity of East 149th Street and Grand Concourse, Bronx, when defendant police officers, without any probable cause or legal justification, approached and summarily stopped, searched, grabbed, assaulted, battered, and detained plaintiff with excessive force. Plaintiff was handcuffed and arrested. While in custody, plaintiff was strip-searched. During arraignment, plaintiff was falsely prosecuted with committing a crime. All charges made against plaintiff were eventually dismissed in his favor. As a result of the defendants' actions, plaintiff sustained severe physical and emotional injuries.
