Description: On August 23, 2018, while lawfully at his home, the plaintiff was unlawfully stopped, searched, interrogated, and arrested by Defendants Pitvachai Jetjonlong, Jonathan Manzuet, James Hynes, Petti, and Lynch without legal justification. The incident began when a civilian, Sean Husted, called 911 to report that a black car had struck his vehicle. Although Husted did not witness the accident, he identified a black vehicle, belonging to the plaintiff, as possibly involved. Defendant Hynes concluded that the plaintiff was responsible, despite no visible damage to either vehicle and testimony from the plaintiff's doorman and video footage showing the plaintiff entering his building normally. The Defendant Officers searched the home for hours looking for guns but did not recover any. They strip searched Plaintiff in his bathroom and then arrested him and took him to the precinct. Plaintiff was charged with a knife recovered from the kitchen drawer in the apartment, small bag of marijuana found inside the couch, and violating an order of protection that had ever existed. Description: On April 27, 2013, inside of a hotel, Plaintiff was falsely arrested by several Defendant NYPD officers, including Defendant Petti and several other unknown Defendants. Such arrest was without legal cause or justification. Plaintiff was handcuffed and searched without a warrant or probable cause. Plaintiff was then taken into custody and transferred to Central Booking against her will. Such actions by the Defendants caused Plaintiff severe physical and emotional injuries.
