Complaint
Description: On May 12, 2023 at approximately 9:30 pm Plaintiff was unlawfully arrested and subjected to excessive force while in a grocery in the Bronx by PO Acosta. Plaintiff was stopped without cause and did not pose a significant threat of death or serious physical injury to PO Acosta or others. PO Acosta slammed Plaintiff to the floor causing significant bruising and physical pain. Acosta grabbed, pushed, threw, tackled, restrained, put in a chokehold, and then handcuffed Plaintiff.
