Description: On September 11, 2011, Plaintiff was on the roof of his building when police officers without warning or cause assaulted and battered him. One officer punched Plaintiff in the face, then tackled him to the ground, causing him to land on his back with the officer on top of him. After Plaintiff had turned around as he had been instructed to do, multiple officers proceeded to strike him repeatedly in the back, head, and face with their fists, feet, and knees. Thereafter, the officers handcuffed Plaintiff and, while Plaintiff was rear handcuffed, again punched him in the face. As a result of the officers conduct, Plaintiff sustained injuries.
