Complaint
Description: On June 9, 2016, plaintiff was lawfully in an area of New York County when he was stopped by defendant officers, put in handcuffs and taken to the precinct even though the plaintiff never committed a crime or violation. Defendant officers then falsely claimed to the DA that the plaintiff was selling crack, which resulted in his incarceration for six days.
All charges were eventually dismissed against the plaintiff, however he suffered emotional distress, mental anguish, bodily injury, anxiety and more from the false arrest and malicious prosecution.
