Description: On November 13, 2020, the Plaintiffs were illegally targeted, because of their race, religion, national origin, ethnicity or other improper characteristics by NYPD Defendant Officers Kevin LEONARD, Kimberly TORRES, and ten (10) unnamed police officers (Jane/John Doe 1 -1 10). The Defendants demanded ID from the Plaintiffs, despite possessing no valid reason to inquire, as no criminal activity was reasonably suspected. The Defendants falsely accused the Plaintiffs of smoking marijuana, despite not having seen anything to suggest that marijuana was being smoked, and there being no complaints from witnesses regarding marijuana.
