Description: On October 29, 2019 at approximately 9:00 AM, plaintiff's 14-year old son, M.J., and another teenager encountered defendant police officers Duffany and Alexander inside the lobby or an apartment building at 3230 Cruger Avenue in the Bronx. When the two boys saw the police officers, they ran. Eventually, the police officers caught up with the boys and ordered them to put their hands up and stand against a wall (it is unclear if this occurred inside or outside the building); the boys complied. The police officers questioned the boys and told them to sit on the floor. Description: On May 18, 2019, plaintiff was lawfully in his vehicle in the vicinity of 1356 Hicks Street, Bronx, when defendant police officers, without any probable or reasonable cause, stopped plaintiff and requested ID and registration. Plaintiff complied with the request, yet he was then pulled out of his vehicle by defendants, pushed against another car, and violently thrown to the ground. One of the officers used taser against plaintiff. Defendants then arrested plaintiff and detained him. Criminal charges were later made against plaintiff but were all dismissed in favor of him. As a result of the incident, plaintiff sustained severe physical and emotional injury.
