Description: On February 16, 2024 Plaintiff was lawfully in the vicinity of an intersection when Det. Joseph Higgins, Det. Ezequiel Martinez, PO John Doe, and PO John Roe stopped Plaintiff on the basis of his race and summarily assaulted, battered, searched, and arrested him without legal justification. Plaintiff was incarcerated for over 24 hours and maliciously prosecuted, compelling Plaintiff to return to court multiple times over an extended period until all charges against him were terminated. Plaintiff sustained physical and emotional pain and injuries as a result of this incident.
