Description: On March 16, 2023, in the vicinity of Cornaga Avenue and Beach 22 Street in Queens, New York, plaintiff observed her father being unlawfully arrested by police and questioned why he was being arrested. The defendant NYPD officers then stopped, handcuffed, and arrested the plaintiff. At no time did the plaintiff engage in any criminal or unlawful behavior. After being arrested, the plaintiff was transferred to the 101st Precinct and confined to a cell with numerous other female prisoners.

Description: On April 17, 2014, at 5 AM, Plaintiffs were asleep in their apartment when Defendants Detective Weldon and several unknown officers forcibly entered the apartment. During their forcible entrance, the Defendants destroyed the front door of the apartment, rendering it inoperable. The Defendants made no efforts to repair or replace any damages to the apartment. The Plaintiffs were forcibly restrained using handcuffs for over an hour as the apartment was searched by the Defendants. Plaintiffs made numerous requests for a warrant, which the Defendants ignored. The Plaintiffs were arrested and transported to the precinct. All charges against both Plaintiffs were eventually dismissed.
