Description: On October 21, 2020, the Plaintiff began filming NYPD officers punching, kicking, tasing, and assualting her boyfriend while effectuating his arrest. Defendant Captain Pulgarin grabbed Plaintiff by the wrist and tried to grab her phone from her hand. The Plaintiff backed away and Pulgarin followed her, slapped her phone out of her hand, and shoved her in the chest toward the street. Description: The plaintiff was just walking on the stress when the defendant officers approached the plaintiff and searched him. Nothing illegal was found on the plaintiff, but despite this the defendant officers handcuffed the plaintiff, arrested him, and took him to the nearest precinct. The defendant officers claimed the plaintiff was operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and that he also had a knife on him. He was charged with one count of criminal possession in the fourth degree and two counts of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The charges were months later dismissed.
