Description: On or about January 15, 2019, the plaintiff was wrongfully and unlawfully detained and arrested without probable cause or justification and subsequently charged with a crime. The criminal complaint alleged that the plaintiff committed crimes related to an incident that occurred on a date when the plaintiff was in the custody of the Department of Corrections and housed in a correctional facility. Despite this, the defendants maliciously initiated a prosecution against the plaintiff without any probable cause or justification, resulting in the plaintiff's wrongful imprisonment for approximately 67 days.
