Description: On November 18, 2017, Anderson Martinez was stopped by NYPD Detectives Rafael Pimentel, Matthew Lombardo, Leva Gevargiz, Terrence Blumenberg, and other unidentified officers near 11 West Fordham Road in the Bronx. Officers allegedly tackled Mr. Martinez to the ground without cause, drove their knees into his back, and searched him in full view of bystanders. Mr. Martinez was falsely accused of drug-related offenses and detained for three days before charges were dismissed. He alleges that he was targeted due to his Hispanic ethnicity, suffered physical and emotional injuries, and was maliciously prosecuted, with officers allegedly fabricating evidence to justify the arrest.

During the course of the arrest, he was intentionally and maliciously assaulted and battered such that he suffered physical injures to his head, neck back, body and limbs, as well as psychological trauma caused by their assaults. Despite the false charges made to justify this arrest, all charges were dismissed.
