Description: On April 12, 2023, Plaintiff, who was pregnant at the time, was walking to meet her boyfriend in Brooklyn. Unbeknownst to Plaintiff, her boyfriend’s relative had called the police earlier that day and alleged that she had violated a restraining order in place against her. Multiple police cars approached her in response to this call, Plaintiff ran from the police before she could process the situation. Defendant Officer Dugue and Defendant Officers John Does forcefully tackled Plaintiff pushing her to the ground, using excessive force without justification, including applying weight to her lower back and pressing against the ground with the officer’s knee.
