Description: On September 12, 2015, at 6:40 PM, an individual was shot in the doorway of a barbershop at 543 East 137th St. in the Bronx. The shooter was wearing white sneakers. The investigation was assigned to defendant 40th Precinct Detective Jose Chevere, under the supervision of defendant LoPuzzo as squad commander. At the time of the shooting, Plaintiff Hassan Muhammad was a block away, inside his home with friends at 164 St. Ann’s Avenue, with friends. Video footage from that day reflects that Mr. Muhammad and his friends did not leave the apartment building until 7:15 p.m. on September 12th, approximately 35 minutes after the shooting. Description: On November 29, 2011, while plaintiff was detained at the 40th precinct in the Bronx, four defendant officers grabbed him out of his cell, placed his arm in an arm lock behind his back, and pushed him to the ground, causing shoulder pain and two lacerations to his head. While on the ground, one of the officers continued hitting plaintiff. He had to be taken by ambulance to Lincoln Medical Center, where he received pain medication, three facial sutures, and three staples placed in his scalp.
