Description: Plaintiffs were at a location where uniformed members of the NYPD arrived and were chasing other unknown individuals who were not associated with the Plaintiffs. These unknown individuals ran into a building near the location of Plaintiffs. Defendant Plainclothes Officer Abreu then arrived on the scene, told Plaintiff 1 to move, and then assaulted and maced him. Plaintiff 2 was also assaulted by Defendant Officers. Both Plaintiffs were brought to a local precinct, then the hospital, and were interviewed by IAB. Plaintiff 2 was released from the hospital without charges but Plaintiff 1 was charges with OGA, Dis Con, Harassment, and Resisting Arrest, which were all later dismissed.
