Description: On November 13, 2017, Plaintiff's son, who is developmentally disabled, was removed from her home by the NYC Department of Adult Protective Services. After being denied access to and information about her son in the hospital, she called 911. Police Officers Louis Larasaavedra and Peter Boyle responded and gave her a warning. Upon her second 911 call, both officers returned, handcuffed her, and left her waiting for an ambulance in the cold. She was sent to a psychiatric ward for evaluation and was discharged. Plaintiff received no charges. She sued for emotional distress and suffering and to expunge the psychiatric evaluation.
