Description: On May 1, 2013, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Plaintiff was lawfully present in Carroll Park in Brooklyn. Plaintiff was unlawfully seized, assaulted, battered, searched, handcuffed, arrested, and threatened by NYPD Officer Marte, Officer Cofessi, and several unidentified NYPD officers at Carroll Park and continuing thereafter at the 76th Police Precinct. The officers eventually released Plaintiff and declined to bring charges due to the fact that there was no basis to arrest, search, and detain him. As a result of this incident, Plaintiff suffered severe injuries and damages, both physically and mentally, embarrassment, defamation of character, and public humiliation.
