Description: On January 24, 2017, ten NYPD officers entered plaintiffs' apartment at 285 Throop Avenue in Brooklyn with guns drawn. The unidentified officers thew plaintiff Luis Jimmy Jaime on his head, face down, handcuffed him, and picked him up by both arms. The officers ignored plaintiffs' request to loosen his handcuffs, and his wrists swelled and bruised. Description: On February 14, 2014, at approximately 5:45 p.m., Plaintiffs Leon McPherson and Sherman McPherson were hanging out at their friend’s place at 542 Chauncey Street in Brooklyn. Several unidentified NYPD officers unlawfully entered the apartment, searched the apartment, and claimed they found drugs and marijuana. Both Plaintiffs never saw any drugs or marijuana in the apartment. The police proceeded to arrest Plaintiffs for possession of marijuana. Plaintiffs were incarcerated for approximately 24 hours before being ROR’ed. Plaintiffs’ money was seized and never returned. After several court appearances, Plaintiffs’ cases were dismissed on motion of the prosecutor on August 29, 2014.

Description: On May 25, 2012, Plaintiff James Goldring possessed two unlicensed rifles and one unlicensed shotgun. He accidentally shot his 4 year old. He alleges that NYPD police officers unlawfully searched his premises and destroyed items when he had not consented. Subsequently in July, NYPD Officers Gonzalez, Hospedales, Perullo, Rivera, Ripa, Stallone, Cruz, Kerny, and Post harassed him, his customers, and his business by issuing a large number of minor or nonexistent violations.

Description: On or about November 24, 2012, Defendant Police Officer Christopher Carbone assaulted, detained, and arrested Plaintiff. Defendant Carbone and other officers approached Plaintiff with firearms and other objects used to seize, strike, and restrain her. Plaintiff was held in custody for hours inside her vehicle, then was charged and prosecuted for crimes she did not commit.
