Description: Plaintiff joined the New York City Police Department ("NYPD") as a Police Administrative Aide in a civilian role in 2000 and was initially assigned to the NYPD's Emergency Services Unit where she worked for three to four years. The next couple of years she was transferred to other precincts. In 2012, Plaintiff was arrested after her mother, who had dementia and Alzheimer's, became agitated at a family barbecue where she was cursing and yelling. Here, she left and returned with the police department and Plaintiff was arrested as a result of the incident.
