Description: On March 19, 2021, while the plaintiff was fleeing from an assault and battery at the Fordham Road subway station, NYPD officers including Hector Bernal illegally approached and falsely accused him of criminal acts. They violently and aggressively grabbed the plaintiff’s head and body without probable cause, reasonable suspicion, a valid search or arrest warrant, or any legal justification. Subsequently, defendants, including Bernal and John or Jane Doe 1-10, grabbed the plaintiff’s body and extremities before violently contorting his arms and wrists behind his back to apply metal handcuffs in an excessively tight fashion, causing bruises, swelling, significant pain, and discomfort.
