Description: On January 7, plaintiff was selling tickets on behalf of his employer, a tour company, in Battery Park. Plaintiff was licensed and authorized to be in the park selling tickets. Defendant NYPD Officer Saad approached plaintiff with defendant U.S. Park Police officers. They asked to search plaintiff, which he declined. When he attempted to leave, the defendants struck him with their batons, forced him to the ground, and repeatedly struck his head with their fists. A bystander called an ambulance, but defendants gave false information to hospital staff, refused to allow medical treatment of plaintiff, and removed him from the hospital into police custody.
