Complaint
Description: On September 17, 2020, defendant PO approached plaintiff when he was waiting for his sandwich from the deli at 1530 Mermaid Avenue. Defendant PO requested plaintiff to leave and grabbed and detained plaintiff although plaintiff agreed to leave. Plaintiff was taken in a marked police cruiser to the 60th precinct, where he was searched again, and placed into a holding cell. Plaintiff was later taken to Kings County Central Bookings and remained for around 17 hours before being arraigned and released on his own recognizance. On April 5, 2021, the criminal case against plaintiff was dismissed and sealed.
