Description: On December 1, 2017, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Robert Taylor was unlawfully stopped and arrested at Pacific and Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn by NYPD Officer Krystoph Valentin and other unidentified officers. Taylor was seated in the driver’s seat of a parked car when officers claimed to have found a gun and marijuana in the passenger's closed book bag. Despite having no knowledge of the items, Taylor was arrested. During the arrest, officers used excessive force, removing a sling and ACE bandage from Taylor's arm, which was recovering from surgery, and handcuffing him in a manner that caused further injury. He was detained for six days before being released, and the charges against him were dismissed on June 2...
