Description: On February 27, 2023, officer John Zurita and unnamed officers approached, assaulted and battered Plaintiff. Plaintiff was taken into police custody and was brought to the Transit District 1 Precinct, where she was held until next morning. Then, Plaintiff was transported to New York County Central Booking where she was held, without being arraigned before a judge and without being charged with a crime, until her release at 2pm. Due to the assault and false imprisonment, Plaintiff suffered injuries and psychological distress.

Description: On March 3, 2021, Plaintiff was lawfully present at a subway station when he was approached and was assaulted and battered by the defendants, POLICE OFFICER RANDY VASQUEZ, NICHOLAS MCKEEVER, JOHN ZURITA and other unknown police officers, without probable cause or any other legal justification. The assault and battery consisted of being grabbed, pushed, pulled, forcefully removed from a subway train, dragged on the ground, slammed into a wall and was forcefully placed in handcuffs. He was then transported to the Precinct where he was strip searched.
