Description: On January 26, 2017, Plaintiff was inside her apartment in Brooklyn, New York. Defendant NYPD officers banged on her door and told her to get on the floor; Plaintiff complied. NYPD officers—including Jeanclaire Simmonds—broke down Plaintiff’s door and handcuffed Plaintiff. The officers asked Plaintiff if she knew where her son was because he was selling drugs out of her apartment. She replied that she did not know and he was not living with her. Plaintiff was taken to the precinct and charged with three counts related to drug possession. All charges were dismissed by the DA for insufficient evidence.

Description: On July 26, 2012, plaintiff was walking back from a store when two police officers approached him. They began hitting him. The officers pushed plaintiff against the wall, and punched the plaintiff in his ribs and face.
